Upgraded capacity wise, I'm looking at around 80-120GB, obviously, the bigger the better.

Since I have the thinner of the range (30GB) I'd like to keep it that way, which limits me to single platter drives of 5mm thickness. So, I'd like to upgrade my hard drive, but I'm struggling to find a tried and tested one that definitely works in my iPod. I could upgrade to an iPod Classic, but I have quite a personal connection to this iPod as it was my first Apple product, and I prefer it to the Classic's design and software. I now find myself having to remove music in order to add more, and that's just not what I want from my iPod. Over the last 12 months, my iPod has been starting to fill up, especially since I recently got into high quality Lossless music. I have an iPod Video 5.5Gen 30GB device from 2006.
